“Children are not only innocent and curious but also optimistic, joyful, and essentially happy. They are, in short, everything adults wish they could be.” – Carolyn Haywood
Working with kids is the best job in the world. I enjoy educating parents and patients about proper dental care while creating long lasting relationships with the families. My goal would be to have every patient cavity free; however, if treatment is necessary, I work with parents to determine the best way treat their child. Every child is unique and it takes a team to make the restorative process a positive experience. It is important that kids feel confident with happy, healthy smiles.
The most rewarding thing to me is when a patient comes into an appointment nervous and leaves proud of themselves for doing something that in their head was the hardest thing they would ever have to do. Using their incredible imaginations to transform what from a distance looks to be overwhelming keeps every day exciting.
